Onsite Machining and Pipeline Services (OMT) was founded in 1997 by Damien Rieniets, Victor Berquez and Rob Hammond.

The business specialises in on site machining (predominantly pipeline fitments, valves and turbine components) and specialised induction bolt/valve heating for the power industry, oil and gas refinery/pipelines, paper manufacturing and mining industries.

OMT is based in Morwell in the heart of Victoria’s power industry and provides highly trained teams for specialised on site work throughout Australia and Overseas – often in difficult and hazardous situations. OMT principals and trained crews fly-in/fly-out to do essential work on power turbines in Indonesia, Philippines and elsewhere in Asia for global clients.

New Valve Workshop

In 2018 OMT is building a world’s best practice valve workshop with fixed valve lapping machines, testing jig (hydraulics), compressors, grip blasting and coating facility and an overhead crane for working on turbine valves. Clients primarily from the paper, oil and gas and thermal power sectors will ship valves to OMT to condition, maintain and provide test reports on valves and undertake the needed repairs and services required – issuing a certified test report to verify the set pressure and other details (ISO:9001 certified)

Key Personnel

OMT is operated by Victor Berquez and Rob Hammond. They employ qualified tradesmen with experience working in the power, paper, oil and gas, and petro-chemical industries.
